The predominant source for our J. Lohr Estates Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon program is our vineyard located directly opposite our J. Lohr Paso Robles Wine Center, plus two newer sites just to the north (J. Lohr Sinclair and J. Lohr Jones ranches). The original Seven Oaks vineyard was planted on its own rootstock, utilizing some of the indigenous Estrella clones widely planted in Paso Robles. The soils in our vineyards vary from gravelly clay loam to limestone-based, over a relatively small parcel of land; various rootstock and clonal combinations have been used to maximize the expression of each individual site and the eventual wine’s layered complexity. The J. Lohr Estates Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon is dense and dark at the core. Ripe fruit aromas of black cherry and currant are accented by notes of toasted pastry, hazelnut, and vanilla from our authentic barrel aging program. Big, juicy red-fruit flavors infuse the palate while softly textured tannins lead to a long, gratifying finish.

The J. Lohr Estates Los Osos Merlot is medium-dark in color with a red hue. Varietal aromas of black plum and violet meld with the light barrel signature of baking spices and toasted pastry. A generous fraction of Malbec in the blend accentuates bright fruit tones and contributes notes of pomegranate and hibiscus flower. This wine is lively and bright on the palate and cascades to a lengthy, red-fruit finish. It's named after the slightly heavier Los Osos series soils in Paso Robles, which have proven to be the perfect medium for growing lush, flavorful Merlot. This wine has earned the Certified California Sustainable seal.

This wine is whole cluster pressed to retain the fresh fruit qualities without the bitterness from stems and seeds. Fermented and aged in French and American oak barrels for richness and complexity. Sur lie aging with monthly battonage (lees stirring) for our signature velvety texture and creamy flavor. The wine goes through a secondary fermentation that results in a tone of butter. Barrel aged in French and American oak.

Stella Rosa Pinot Grigio white wine was born from rich grapes grown in the beautiful valleys near the Trentino mountains. Straw-yellow colored, this Pinot Grigio is crisp and dry, with flavors of honey, green apple, and pear, created to be served chilled and at 12% ABV. The grapes are de-stemmed and very gently soil-pressed in a pneumatic press. Prior to fermentation, the liquid is chilled to allow a natural separation of sediment and juice, after which selected yeast are added to initiate fermentation. Fermentation takes place off the skins in temperature-controlled conditions not exceeding 16-18 °C in stainless steel for approximately 15 days. The wine stays on the lees for about 40 days and rests for a while before bottling. Perfect with appetizers, grilled chicken, and salads.

Poggio Costa “The Hill by the Sea” is in reference to the hillside range running along the border of Slovenia on one side of the Gulf og the Trieste on the other, which is the origin city of Prosecco.Poggio Costa vineyards consisting of marl and sandstone, which contains tons of marine fossils originating at the bottom of what is now the Adriatic Sea.
