A friend and I went for a late dinner at Chinkapin Brewing last week during the Festival of the Horse in Georgetown. I was immediately impressed the second I walked in the door. I loved the atmosphere, and the thought they put into decorating the place the way they did. They have high top tables, normal 4 person tables, and a cozy couch up front! Although all the beer and mixed drinks we saw looked amazing, we just went to get a meal this time!

We were visiting Georgetown for a wedding and stumbled upon this awesome brewery. We were greeted by the friendliest bartender and she gave us a lot of useful information about the brewery and various drinks on tap. They have 3 home taps and the others are features from local breweries including Country Boy. I loved the Peach cider the most!

The pizza is truly to die for. If you're a wood fire oven pizza person then this place has your name all over it. I recommend you and your friends getting different pizzas and sharing so you can try more things! The staff was incredibly kind and I believe I might have spoke with the gentleman that owned it. He was also very friendly to us! I wish I would have taken more pictures than this to share more of the experience, but trust me when I say it's a place you definitely want to try when you're in Georgetown!

Noticing the open concept kitchen with wood fire oven, we ordered a pretzel and some pizzas. The pretzel was salty and crunchy on the outside while not dry at all on the inside. The pizzas were so flavorful and the crust gives you that wood grilled taste which I love. The pizza actually reminded me of some of the pizza we ate in Italy, delicious!
