James Beers and the Wandering Woodsmen Hailing from the cornfields of Indiana, James started late in his music endeavors- picking up the guitar as an adult. His love of music and song-writing continues to develop in his alt. country and blues storytelling style. In the past year, the addition of Allan Day (Mandolin) and Shane Martion (lead guitar) created the trio "James Beers and the Wandering Woodsmen"-a group that brings covers and original work to life in an engaging, heartfelt experience. Most weekends you will find them performing at local bars and coffee houses, sharing stories in song.

 ARTIST STATEMENT 

“It’s been a long, strange trip” … becoming an Artist I have created all types of art over many years. Being mostly a self-taught artist, I needed to experiment with every medium to find that acrylic would be my go-to. I found that acrylics work best in my mostly impressionistic style. The use of pallet knives, brushes and medium allow me to create paintings with lots of texture and vibrant color. Inspiration comes from nature's beauty. Every season has it’s own pallet. Monet’s art is a favorite of mine and has always inspired me to loosen up. My family and friends, the places I have lived and traveled to are always an inspiration. My joy is when someone tells me, “I feel as if I can walk into that painting”.

Brady  Evan is a 29 year old singer-songwriter from New Washington Indiana playing mostly traditional country music but leaves no stone un turned when it comes to other genres.

Jeff is a georgetown based songwriter and acoustic performer. Raised in the hills of Pike County, Ky his roots are based in Americana/Appalachian /Bluegrass. His songs tell stories about coal mines, hard times, and things that catch your heart. He performs solo shows up to full Jeff Blackburn Band. Nate Jones is a seasoned musician with over 20 years of experience playing in and around central Kentucky. Known for his unique sound, Nate masterfully blends his Kentucky roots with a laid-back, almost island vibe, creating a musical style that is both refreshing and captivating. Throughout his extensive career, Nate has become a staple in the local music scene, performing at numerous venues and events that showcase his versatility and talent. His performances are marked by a genuine connection with his audience, delivering each song with heartfelt authenticity and a relaxed charm. Nate's EP, Modus Ponens, is a testament to his musical journey and can be found on all major streaming platforms. The EP highlights his ability to merge different influences into a cohesive and enjoyable listening experience, drawing listeners into his world with each track. Whether performing live or sharing his music online, Nate Jones continues to enchant audiences with his distinctive sound and enduring passion for music. His commitment to his craft and his roots make him a standout artist in the contemporary music scene.

Anthony Highley is a singer/songwriter from Winchester Kentucky. Anthony draws influence from multiple music styles including bluegrass, alternative rock, and country music.

Mela B is a singer/songwriter, originally from California. She has a unique style of music across a mix of genres. It could be classified as Folk/pop or Indie Rock. She no longer makes a set list because she feels  the people should choose what they would like to listen to.

The  Quilla Rose is a fun loving acoustic duo that plays an eclectic bunch of songs that are sure to get everyone singing along. Think of them as your favorite road trip playlist!

Jason Smith a local favorite music artist

Raised on the classic rock icons of the 60s and 70s, Alex Creamer writes her songs with uncompromising integrity. Her lyrics seek depth without pretentiousness, and her musical style showcases her folk, blues, and rock roots. With intimate vocals, unabashed rhythm guitar, and emotional fluency, Creamer proves every time she steps on stage that, although she is a proficient songwriter, she is above all things an entertainer. 

Alex got her start playing at a cafe in her hometown of Montrose, PA. She soon branched out to nearby Binghamton, NY, then went on to play hundreds of venues across the US and Canada, including The Whiskey a Go Go in LA and The Bitter End in NYC.  Her music has been featured on several radio shows including the Blue Plate Special in Knoxville, TN, Pass the Hat in Hillsborough, NC, and The Signal in Binghamton, NY.

Creamer is currently based in Nashville, TN, where she performs locally, tours, and produces her own music. 

Singer-songwriter and covers revivalist Dr. Kevin Holm-Hudson holds a genuine earned doctoral degree (in music composition, which he has frittered away ever since writing songs instead of symphonies). By day he is Professor of Music Theory at the University of Kentucky; evenings and weekends, he writes and sings songs about desperate characters, disasters, dogs, and Pablo Casals, both as a solo performer and with his band Dr. Kevin Holm-Hudson & The Adjuncts. His eclectic musical style is best described as indie-folk with numerous influences ranging from Americana to psych. His first album with The Adjuncts, Message from the Margins (2021), was nominated for Album of the Year in the Lexington Music Awards, Appalachian Arts & Entertainment (APPY) Awards, and the Nashville-based Josie Awards. A second album, The Trembling Air (2022), was also nominated for an APPY Award. His latest album, a solo release, is called Milkweed. All three albums are available for streaming and purchase from kevin-holm-hudson.bandcamp.com.

Donovan Howard is a singer songwriter from Eastern Kentucky steeped in traditions formed from music created within his small rural community over the past 100 years. He has written and recorded four solo albums to  date and is constantly performing and writing new material.
